2026 Summer Program

As we continue to grow in our new facility at 1233 Janesville Ave, we’re excited to share that we are expanding our programs to better serve families in our community.

We have some exciting updates:

Licensing: We are in the final stages of licensing with the Department of Children and Families for our Early Childhood Rooms.

Summer Launch: Pending licensing approval, we plan to begin serving children ages 4 to 6 starting this summer.

Renovations: Our indoor space has undergone an extensive remodel to support expanded programming and create an even more engaging environment for children.

2026 Summer Program Information

Open to all children ages 4-11 years old.
Junior Staff Program available for children entering 6th-8th grade.
- Interested applicants should fill out this application.
Families must fill out an interest form in Brightwheel to start the registration process for each child.

BASE will not be providing morning care during the SDFA Summer School Program if the child is old enough to participate in Summer School (entering Kindergarten and older).
Session fees must be paid by the Friday before each new week for a BASE child to attend.
All registration and billing will be set up through Brightwheel.

No refunds will be given for any fees paid to BASE.
A limited number of scholarships are available. Families requesting full or partial scholarships can fill out this form.
BASE families must have an account in good standing with BASE before summer program registration can be processed and approved.
Fees include large group field trips and a BASE t-shirt.
BASE families will be responsible for sending plenty of snacks and sunscreen.

Registration Process

Complete a Summer Interest Form via Brightwheel. You will need to create an account if you do not have one already.
BASE staff will send the full application packet via Brightwheel.
Once all materials have been received and approved, you will receive a confirmation email from BASE staff. If you encounter any issues while completing the application, please email emily@basefortatkinson.org.
