BASE Hosted 2026 Wings & Wheels Fly‑In Breakfast on May 31 at Fort Atkinson Municipal Airport
Fort Atkinson, WI — Badgerland After School Enrichment Program (BASE) successfully hosted the 2026 Wings & Wheels Fly‑In Breakfast on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at the Chemair Helicopters Hangar at the Fort Atkinson Municipal Airport. The event ran from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and brought together families, aviation enthusiasts, classic‑car owners, and community supporters for a morning of food, aircraft activity, and connection.
Guests enjoyed an all‑you‑can‑eat pancake breakfast complete with pancakes, sausage, Canadian bacon- all topped with real maple syrup. Plane rides were also offered for purchase throughout the morning, adding to the excitement and family‑friendly atmosphere.
Proceeds from the event supported BASE’s mission to provide high‑quality out‑of‑school‑time care for children in the Fort Atkinson community.
“Wings & Wheels continues to be one of our most important fundraisers,” said Alicia Norris, Executive Director of BASE. “We were grateful to see so many community members come out to support our programs and enjoy a beautiful morning at the airport.”
BASE expressed its appreciation to the generous sponsors who made the 2026 event possible: Top sponsors included Day Insurance, IPEC and Spacesaver. Festival Foods, Fort HealthCare, Hausz Bros., Inc., Jefferson County Agri- Business, PremierBank, Business & Tax Systems, LLC, Nitardy Funeral Homes, Jones Dairy Farm and United Way of Jefferson & North Walworth Counties also provided various levels of support for BASE and the event. Since 2005, BASE has been a cornerstone of support for Fort Atkinson families, providing critical out‑of‑school‑time care that helps children learn, grow, and thrive. BASE services include after school and summer care for kids ages 4 & up. The organization’s new home at 1233 Janesville Ave establishes a centralized hub for its out of school time programs for kids ages 7 & up and also allows the organization to expand services, including licensed childcare for children ages 4–6 and flexible community space designed to bring people of all ages together.
